When your bottles are upright, the closed fliptop prevents anything from entering the bottle. When the bottle is tilted into a pouring position, the hinged fliptop opens smoothly allowing liquor to pass through the spout.
Unlike other manufacturer's spouts, Precision Pour® fliptop seals are an integral part of the spout, not an add-on. The fliptop's mount is molded into the top of the spout, and the movable portion of the fliptop is affixed with a metal pin.
